Work Permit for Foreign Employees (General/Normal Company)

• Timing:
  You must apply for your Work Permit at the Ministry of Labour’s Office within 90 days of arriving in Thailand.

• Application Process:
  Submit your application to the local Department of Employment in the area where your employer is based.

BOI Company Work Permit (Single Window System)

• Purpose:

  Designed for foreign employees working for BOI-promoted companies in Thailand.

• Initial Validity:

  Typically issued as a Non‑Immigrant “B” or "IB" visa with BOI endorsement. Initially valid for 90 days and can be extended to one year once a work permit is obtained.

• Extension:

  Apply for an extension 45–60 days before your current visa expires.

Destination Thailand Visa (DTV)

• Purpose:

  Designed for digital nomads and remote workers earning income from overseas, allowing you to live in Thailand and work remotely.

• Initial Validity:

  Valid for up to 180 days per entry on a multiple-entry basis.

• Extension:

  To maintain long‑term residency, you may need to exit and re‑enter Thailand for additional 180‑day periods or apply for a renewal per current regulations.

SMART Visa

• Purpose:
  Designed to attract highly skilled professionals, executives, entrepreneurs, and investors in targeted industries (such as technology, health, and digital sectors) to work in Thailand.

• Benefits:
  Long‑term visa validity (up to 4 years, depending on the category), Multiple‑entry privileges with reduced 90‑day reporting requirements

• Purpose:
  The LTR Visa is designed for qualified individuals who wish to reside in Thailand for an extended period (up to 10 years) under favorable conditions.

• Benefits:
  Extended residency with fewer administrative burdens, opportunity to bring eligible family members.
