Visa & Work Permit Services

Step 1: Get Your Work Visa (Non‑Immigrant “B”)

What You Need to Know:

  • Purpose:

The Non‑Immigrant “B” (Business) visa is for foreigners who plan to work, run a business, or invest in Thailand.

  • Initial Validity:

The visa is initially valid for 90 days.

  • Extension:

To work long-term (up to one year), you must obtain a valid work permit and then extend your visa accordingly.

How to Apply:

  1. Before Arrival: Submit your application for a Non‑Immigrant “B” visa at your local Thai Embassy or Consulate if you haven’t yet entered Thailand.

  2. After Arrival: If you entered Thailand on a different visa (e.g., Tourist or Transit) and have at least 15 days remaining, you may convert your visa to Non‑Immigrant “B” at the Chaengwattana Immigration Checkpoint.

Step 2: Secure Your Work Permit

Even with a valid Non‑Immigrant “B” visa, you cannot legally work in Thailand until you obtain a Work Permit.

Work Permit Application Process:

  • Timing:
You must apply for your Work Permit at the Ministry of Labour’s Office within 90 days of arriving in Thailand.

  • Application Process:
Submit your application to the local Department of Employment in the area where your employer is based.
